How Can You Offer Free Hosting?
When your web pages are viewed, our server will dynamically place only two advertising sections - a small header and footer. This small advertising area is what keeps hosting free for you.
You can of course place in your own banners and promotional links on your web pages.
Any attempts to alter or write any code that obstructs with our advertising spots will delete your account and ban you from coming back.
What Type Of Content Is NOT Allowed?
We do not accept the following:
- Child Pornography: any underage content will be deleted, banned and reported.
- Unlicensed Content: if your not licensed to redistribute or don't legally own it, don't post it.
- Spam Content: don't unsolicited emails, post to newsgroups, instant messages, etc...
How Do I Upload My Files?
Upon completing your new sign up, you will be given your username and password for you to FTP to our servers. You can find most FTP software from TuCows.
What Type Of Files Are Allowed?
We will support standard .html and images files. (.htm, .html, .gif, .jpg, .js and .css.) Any other files will automatically be deleted.
Can I Run CGI Scripts?
For security reasons and server speed, we do not allow executables. (.cgi, .pl, .mp3, .zip, .asp) Any attempts to upload these files will automatically notify us and you will be banned.

Can I Upload Video Files?
Not currently... we are in the process of offering you new video servers. The current XXSERV servers are only for image type sites. Come back for details on when the new video servers are ready.
How Much Storage Space Do I Get?
Unlimited... under the condition that you use these files for your current web pages. This is not a storage bin for your files.
How Much Bandwidth Do I Get?
Unlimited... send as much traffic as you want. Hosting is 100% free.
Are There Any File Size Restrictions?
Yes... you should not require more than 150K for each file size - this applies to web pages and images.
What Does My Home URL Look Like?
If you account name was JOHNDOE, then your home URL would behttp://johndoe.xxserv.com .
Can I Host My Domain Name With You?
Yes... but this only applies to webmasters that we can trust. Email support@xxserv.com to request this free service.
Can I Have More Than 1 Account?
No... with unlimited storage space and unlimited bandwidth, there would be no reason to more than 1 account.
Can I Post My Pages On TGP Sites?
Absolutely. We work closely with TGP sites to ensure that none of our advertisements conflict with their rules. Also, we do not spawn pop ups, redirect traffic or steal traffic in any way. Your TGP traffic solely belongs to you. We only get exposure for our advertisements.
What If I Forget My Password?
Email support@XXSERV.com with your username login and we will send the password to the email on your account.
What Happened To My Site, It Disappeared?
Because we didn't like you. : ) Always understand that XXSERV reserves the right to delete and ban any account user for any reason. No questions asked. So be good and happy trafficking!
